Information for students

Neither the Data Protection Officer nor the Data Protection and Information Security Management Unit are originally responsible for advising students on data protection enquiries in their capacity as students.

This applies in particular to data protection advice regarding final theses. If you have any questions in this regard, please contact the person(s) supervising your thesis. For general data protection advice, please contact the student representatives.

Data Protection and Information Security Management

On the following pages you will find lots of useful information on the topics of data protection management (DPM) and information security management (ISM). Before you contact us directly, please take a look around the website first.

Topic overview and service

Data protection

The University of Oldenburg is obliged to fulfil certain data protection law requirements. The Data Protection Management (DPM) staff unit supports the Presidential Board in the legally compliant implementation of these requirements. The DPM also provides training courses and a "web course" on the basics of data protection law.
